Q: What brands do you use on clients?
A: I use only the highest quality brands. My absolute favorite is MAC, especially for eye shadows! Other brands I use are Makeup Forever, Sephora, Too Faced, Urban Decay, and Smashbox.
Q: What kind of foundation do you use on clients?
A: My absolute favorite is MAC Studio Fix Fluid! It's amazing! It lasts all day and makes you look flawless. I also like Makeup Forever's HD foundation as well. Both are fantastic products. I have Studio Fix in my kit and is what I use on clients, however, if you have a certain brand/type in mind, I am open to discussing the options with you.
Q: What if I want to use my own foundation?
A: That would be fine! The only exception would be minerals, which I do not recommend for any type of event where you are going to be photographed (such as a wedding). The reason is some of the minerals in mineral makeup reflect light much more than normal makeup, which can make you look washed out in pictures.
Q: What do you do to ensure your products are clean and sanitary?
A: I clean all my brushes with MAC brush cleaner before and after every client and I wipe my eyeshadows down regularly with a 91% alcohol solution.. I also ensure not to cross contaminate liquid based products (lip stick, mascara, etc).
Q: How long will it take you to do my makeup?
A: 60-90 minutes on the day of the event, usually closer to 60 minutes unless we are doing something really elaborate, in which case it could take longer.
Q: How far will you travel for a client?
A: I prefer to stay within the Cincinnati/tri-state area. Please call me if your event is farther away, as I am willing to travel for an additional fee.
